A story about a group of men and women on the Moon which struggle to free themselves from Earth. Working with a computer named Mycroft they must build a resistance, find a way to fight earth and build a government.
This book introduces a lot of interesting ideas and is one of the most important of Libertarian Novels. It also won the Hugo award in 1967.
Friday, March 4, 2011 at 9:14PM This is a reading from one of the best parts of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress in which it discusses ways to develop a government. Very interesting and with some good ideas that should at least be considered even if you end up dismissing them.
Friday, March 4, 2011 at 8:52PM If you watch this all the way through you will find that he is discussing seastedders which is a bit odd, but the points he makes are interesting none the less.
