Philip K. Dick

1928 - 1982

There is almost no one in science fiction with as much style as Philip K. Dick. This ability to tell mind bending stories where you don't know what is true and what isn't is born at least partially out of his own life and has made him a hit in Hollywood with movies like Bladerunner, Minority Report and Paycheck among many others.

An Article on Philip K. Dick and The Adjustment Bureau

This is a pretty good article in the Irish Times that, naturally, focuses primarily on The Adjustment Bureau and the movies based on PKD's works. The only real issue with it is that I actually liked Paycheck and think that the books are still better than the movies.

Read it here.

There are few more science fiction authors with a more interesting personal story that Philip K. Dick and in part that is why the images of him are so interesting.

As for the last image I have two questions. One dose the Philip K. Dick robot know its a robot and secondly is there something disturbing about choosing this author to make into an android.

An interesting video, mostly about comparing America and France when it comes to science fiction. I'm not sure why they decided to record it in a wind tunnel with a marching band playing in the background, but what he says is still interesting.

Trailers -- The Adjustment Bureau

The trailers for this movie look very good. From what I have heard this really isn't all that good, mostly because there isn't all that much mystery in the movie. Since one of the things that is fun about Philip K. Dick's novels is that you are trying to figure out what is going on that is a problem.
